LIFX Beam Kit, 6 colour Beams per kit + 1 illuminated corner, Color adjustable and dimmable

This is my second lifx beam I'm reviewing after the first stopped working and was returned. (It was faulty and wouldn’t connect to wifi)
My replacement worked for about a week with limited functionality - it could only hold 1 colour on the beam as opposed to multiple colours at the same time. I completed a hard reset and now it can’t connect to my phone over wifi. I have troubleshot it to bits and contacted lifx support over a week ago and haven’t heard back.

I've had the product for about 2 months.
It's brilliant when everything works but I'm occasionally (maybe 25% of the time) getting the error message "it’s gone dark". My Wifi is very stable and fast so I have to think it is the beam or the app that is the issue.
Troubleshooting; I’ve reset the power supply to the beam, reset the modem, closed the app, restarted my phone. Nothing worked.
So I simply can’t use it when I want to. Quite underwhelming considering the high pricetag I've had the product for about 2 months.

Had been thinking about buying this for a while and decided to buy one last weekend and couldn’t be happier with it. Super easy to set up and the product is great quality. App is easy to use and is a great feature to have on your wall. Loved the product so much so that I went to purchase another set the following day. these things are useless.
we got two of them for a room, always disconnecting and having to pull the power out from the plug to reset, then would stop working a day later.
did everything we could find online to fix this issue and still kept doing it.

got them replaced and the new ones took two hours to set up as it would keep not load all lights and only a few would work,
finally got them working and the colour wouldn't change on them.
so reset finally again and now won't connect to app.

we have a number of other lights from hue and Nanoleaf that are much easier to set up, have no issues and have better smart home integration.

Got one and it was fantastic, so decided to get a second one. Soon after the first one would stop responding to commands and you would have to unplug eveything and back in to get it working again. Then sometimes it would only half light up. Got to the point when this would happen every day.
Provided that the thing works it’s great. 3/5 only because of the issues if you get one that works no issues 5/5 Got one and it was fantastic, so decided to get a second one. I rate it. You can hook it up to other home automation. Good for streaming background light. Would be great if we could get hold of the extra corners and single lights but meh, its good on it's own too. I rate it. You can hook it up to other home automation. Love these Lifx beams so much that i now have 2. Incredibly bright - could be used to solely light up a small room any colour you like. The hidden features such as the visualiser that changes with music or spooky theme which is unique are a nice added touch. Only downside would be the magnets that each section fit together with are not incredibly strong e.g you can't pick up the entire beam in one piece, you need to piece it together section by section - which can be a bit annoying when mounting to the wall and trying to get it straight.
