Product does not work on Macbook Pro 16" 2019. Straight from StarTech support:

+ DP14MM2M would be a comparable option to the CDP2DP146B.

I needed to connect my work laptop to my monitor at home, and needed a USB-C to display port cable. This one did the trick nicely. Running a resolution of 5120x1440 without an issue. Very happy. Spent a while trying to get a cable that would work for my setup - 49" CR49 Samsung curved monitor and a 2022 macbook pro M2. Most cables I tried either didn't have DSC or the DSC function was limited to lower resolutions. This one worked a charm and don't even need power to be connected for it to do so (a requirement of some of the other cables I tried to even get lower resolutions). I have used these cables daily for my personal and work setups for more than two years now and they have worked perfectly. Why a piece of shielded copper is so expensive is beyond me, though. Since PB Tech couldn't answer my pre-sale question I brought this cable to test.

I have two Dell U2417H monitors with DisplayPort MST compatibility. (I.e DisplayPort in and out Connectors)
Enabling Display Port MST on one monitor means I can pass the display port signal across to the 2nd monitor. (If you don't enable MST, it duplicates)
This monitor also has audio output (via HDMI or Display Port) that is hooked up to my speakers.
The monitor also has a USB3 hub built in.

Both monitors running at 1920x1080 60Hz and I have sound out from my monitor from this cable.

Draw back of this setup is there are 3 plugs to connect to the laptop: This Startech Display Port Cable, USB-C Data and Power plug. However the laptop (ASUS G14) can use more than 100W that is the current maximum from the docking stations, so for the number of times I take away the laptop its not an issue for me for better performance, and saving quite a bit of money on a docking station.
