My Ute refuses to believe there is a phone plugged into this cable. I think it's the little box where it splits. It can't talk to that chip and the Ute just turns the entire cable off and won't use it. Annoying because I wanted to be able to charge anything from the Ute while I'm driving. Bought this to replace Promate 6-in-1 cable which broke after several months use. Unlike the thin plastic strips connecting the Micro-USB and Lightning connectors to the central USB-C one on the Promote, the Unitek has 3 separate braided cords. They should last much longer (I've only used for a few weeks now). And also enables charging multiple devices at once from one plug. Also: the Unitek is cheaper & no frustrating pulling the lightning connector off the USB-C etc when changing device. Bought this to replace Promate 6-in-1 cable which broke after several months use. I bought 3 of these cables for around the house, and use in my 2017 Audi A4 (USB-A) to connect my iPhone (15) and partners iPhone (13) to CarPlay. Whilst the iPhone 13 works great with the lightning connector for CarPlay, the USB-C does NOT work with the iPhone 15 for CarPlay (charging only). Otherwise these cables are great quality and ideal for multi-device connectivity. Charging of multiple devices is dependant on the capability of the USB power supply, multiple devices charging does make the cable warm! (probs not recommended!)
