First unit I got ignored app-sent settings of 1080p60 and recorded at 30fps, with quite heavy compression artefacts and with very quiet, muffled audio that had a "pop" noise about once a second the whole time (engine on or off). Returned to PB Tech with both issues noted as faults; swapped for new unit; this had exactly the same faults. PB Tech advised against a "third time lucky" replacement. I've had to pull the wiring out of the car to return it alongside the camera for a refund (installation of wiring causes a degree of trim damage/wear, depending on your car and how the wires need to be routed, so you usually want to avoid doing this). To their credit, PB Tech Wellington's service department was not too slow, very polite and friendly and generally helpful. Even though it's not the outcome I wanted, at least I'm not out of pocket.

If my second unit really was working as intended, it's dreadful quality at any price. Video at 1080p30 is full of compression artefacts with alright night time but underwhelming daytime performance and the audio is totally unusable.

Great camera, only issue is when I watch back any footage there is a constant rumbling noise like there is something broken on the inside or the camera. Other than that it is great! Set this up in no time in my car. Cable long enough to feed through discretely. Easy instructions to follow. It would be good good to have a USB cable for cars without lighter connection and an extra windscreen bracket so I can use between vehicles. Value for money. Set this up in no time in my car. I’m so happy to have bought this compact dash cam. Super easy to install. The recorded files are in MP4 format so can be viewed with most popular video apps. This little dash cam is is good for the price. And it's also really small... like tiny. Matchbox size and has good wireless communication as you control it from your phone. Video quality isn't the best but it's good enough. On a bright sunny clear day license plates are readable at about 3 car lengths away. Alright in low light conditions. Had for around 2 months now.
