I have owned this camera for only 3 months and it has already become faulty. It was great at first very clear pics but now when a car drives past or a person the video glitches out until whatever was going past is long gone. It has also being making strange noises and also making clicking noises. We walk past the camera every day, and in 4-5 days it has not yet once detected anyone. On the other had it has regularly made false people detections that seem to mostly be shadows of leaves moving in the wind. It also seems to get regular WiFi dropouts despite being only a few m from the router (albeit through the floor), and detects those dropouts as movement or even as people. Replay is painful - you get a choice of 1x, 4x or 16x, but it never plays much more than 1x, which makes manually finding anything painful. The black/white colour scheme seems way too obvious, and may draw unnecessary attention. I purchased 2 of these 6 months ago to add to my Xaiomi CCTV network. They one up hi picks up human movement very easily from 15m away. It does pick up vegetation movement in a moderate wind, but that's no issue. The front camera has the same level of accuracy. I run a mesh wireless WIFI system in my home. Both cameras have 100% WiFi capability and never drop out. The one real issue I have is that the clock on the camera sets one hour behind. When I go into settings to correct it, the change is not accepted. This only happens on the external cameras on my network.
These cameras do a good job for the money I paid. I intend to add 2 more to the network.

Many of the features no longer work for free and you have to pay a monthly subscription to xiaomi to have it work.

But when this was on sale it was still Worth it as a basic security camera that would record to an micro sd card and allow me to live view the camera remotely. But any and all Other features are now behind a monthly pay wall.
