For some odd reason my PC straight up died and just wouldn't boot up. My friend told me that it could be that Windows was broken and I needed to reset the PC. I had a lot of files on the computer and I didn't really want to loose all of it so I bought one of these and took the files off the hard drive and put it through to an external hard drive. Pulled my old HHD from my old comp, this case worked perfectly and I was able to pull the data I needed from the HD to my current computer. Am now using the old HD as an external HD. This unit is easy to use and works great with both 3.5 and 2.5 hard drives. Simple setup. Great service from PB Tech who supplied much faster than they said they would. This is a nice and simple enclosure that would suit any setup, my hard drive slotted in without any issue. I would recommend cutting the foam insert that is supplied in half or into four pieces so you can support the hard drive at both ends (if needed), I feel this may help long term to stabilise the device from any outside disturbances.

Just noting, once you have placed the pads in place they are more or less permanent, so ensure you place them exactly where they need to go. Working fine as an external enclosure for the large hard drive I was using inside the PC case. Now I do not have to worry about powering on my backup hard drive every time I start my PC. Worth the money. I only wish Microsoft Windows 10 would sort out the problem it has with the USB devices not booting every time they are plugged. This box is working great.
