The SDOCK2U33EB Dual 2.5/3.5" SATA hard drive docking station lets you dock and swap hard drives from your desktop or laptop computer simultaneously using a single eSATA or USB port.

For fast performance and efficient data transfers when connected through eSATA, the docking station supports full SATA III transfer speeds -- up to 6 Gbps. For universal compatibility, the dock can be connected through USB 3.0 with transfer speeds up 5 Gbps plus support for UASP, which supports performance up to 70% faster than conventional USB 3.0 when paired with a UASP-enabled host controller to utilize the full potential of your SATA III hard drives. The hard drive docking station supports the fastest drive technologies including SATA III (6 Gbps), hybrid drives and solid state drives (SSD), ensuring you can save time by getting the most out of your drive performance.

A solid dock for casual and professional data users

StarTech make great hardware for home users and professional data recovery techs. External docks like this are easy to use and a trusty tool when cloning drives or repairing damaged ones though I do suggest users use eSATA not USB3 for speed and other hardware compatibility reasons and you will need a computer whose eSATA connection supports 'multi' drives - that is one eSATA connection to a dock with more than one hard drive otherwise only one drive will work at a time. I learned this by accident however I bought an additional StarTech eSATA PCI card cheaply to fix this problem and expand my drive connectivity.

StarTech SDOCK2U33EB USB3.0 / eSATA Dual Hard Drive Docking Station

Bought to replace an old ESATA Hard Disk enclosure that had started to become problematic and starting to lose connectivity on a regular basis. Basically the built in eSATA card in the enclosure was failing. With the larger hard drives now available, and supported by this dock, was able to replace the suspect 5 disk enclosure with this dual disk docking station. It hasn't missed a beat since installed and just simply works brilliantly.

No cons that I have found, it is simply a good product that does what I hoped and does so reliably.

7 day right of exchange

If you change your mind after making a purchase, or realise you have ordered the incorrect item, you can enjoy the peace of mind that we offer a 7 day exchange policy.

To exchange a product, goods must be sealed / unopened, with packaging in original condition, and accompanied by a valid receipt dated no more than 7 calendar days from when you request an exchange.

If there is not a suitable product that can be exchanged for your returned item you will be offered a credit on your account or gift card based on the value paid at the time of purchase.
