If you’re cleaning on a smooth surface, such as a CPU chip, it works great (actually, I believe you don’t have to rely on this product in this circumstance).
However, it couldn’t completely clean up the dried thermal pad leftovers on the rough surface. So don't don't dream that you will magically have a shiny metal pad after using this product. Pretty good for cleaning off thermal paste before a reapply, I'd recommend using it in the correct order about 3 times as it may take a bit to get your paste off. I used this to clean up before before putting the thermal paste and the heatsink on my build. Also, used to clean up the old thermal paste off a RTX 2070S. Easy to clean and makes it a lot easier to clean up the compound. Just put few drops leave it and wipe it. Easy!
