Crucial MX500 4TB 2.5" Internal SSD

I have purchased a number of these drives in the last couple of years while upgrading laptops for myself and friends and they are seriously good. Speed difference between a standard hard drive and this SSD is amazing. The fact they come with a 5 year warranty suggests Crucial have faith in these drives and thus far I fully agree as I have never had an issue. A small and thin drive that is perfect for anyone. Great value for money and extremely fast. You can easily remove the sticker on the front if you have it visible in your PC and want it to have a cleaner look. I placed this in a thunderbolt enclosure to be used as a boot disk for 27-inch late 2012 iMac. Till using this, the Mac was extreeeeemly slow to do anything. Now, with the SSD it's like a new Mac - extreeemly fast, even with multiple user accounts active and dozens of apps running. (BTW, a ready made thunderbolt SSD drives are currently retailing for about $800 (US$?) so, buying a 2nd hand thunderbolt HDD drive and replacing the HDD with the SSD saved me hundreds of $$$) I placed this in a thunderbolt enclosure to be used as a boot disk for 27-inch late 2012 iMac. I have only had the Crucial SSD installed for a couple of weeks, so haven't had time to test it, other than to say it appears to be well made (I'm an electronic engineer) and looks like a good quality product, especially having a 5 year Warranty. The price was competitive and overall was an excellent purchase. I bought this to upgrade my laptop HDD to SSD. The cloning process was super easy and went off without a hitch - I used the software that Crucial recommends. The instructions on their website were clear and easy to follow. After that, it was pretty straightforward to swap out the drives. The performance increase by using this SSD is massive - my laptop now boots from cold in only a few seconds, and loading times on games has dropped immensely. Until 2 weeks ago I was using a 7200rpm HDD as my primary and loading times were good, but I had never used an SSD before.

I bought a Crucial 1TB SS hard drive. Fast delivery easy to install and has given my laptop a new lease of life, it is much faster

I needed an ssd for external music storage. Transferring over 300Gb was no issue, as the sustained write speeds didn't dip due to heat like many cheap drives. On USB 3.0 the drive runs faster than I need, and editing hundreds of files at a time is a snap. I needed an ssd for external music storage. I bought the 500gb version of these a couple of years ago and they didn't fail me. Now that the 1TB versions are about the same price I upgraded, and these work fine too. Set up in RAID 0 config, they offer 2TB of fast storage. My RAID controller maxes out at 750MB/s so can't verify their max speed. I bought this to help speed up a small form factor PC I use as an FTP server. I had issues with clients saying it was too slow. Well it isn't now! The supplied clone software worked a treat and within a few hours of getting the SSD, it was swapped in and the everything worked perfectly first time.
