I managed to kill this within 48 hours. Apparently overheating under heavy continuous writing loads is not uncommon for this form factor and while the design of the case it was in has to share the blame somewhat it did have a heat transfer pad between the card and the aluminium chassis. I've never killed an M.2 drive before (I have several in constant use) so I was not impressed that it didn't go into thermal backoff or some kind of protection mode. I didn't bother replacing this but I happened to have a spare in a computer I decommissioned a while ago. That's surviving just fine in the same case. Cheap SSDs aren't worth saving a few bucks. I have been using the SSD in my MacBook Air for the last 2 or so months. I had to buy a converter to make it fit, but that was all part of the plan. This is great value for money. So far it has been reliable and has caused no issues for me what so ever. The MacBook runs well and now has about 4 times the storage capacity. As stated I believe that the Kingston A2000 does have the best price to performance.
pros: It's fast, it is cheaper than the competition.
Cons: Some people may not like the blue look of it but if you have a heat spreader cover over your m.2 slots on your motherboard you have no reason to worry. As stated I believe that the Kingston A2000 does have the best price to performance.

Really good drive. Good capacity and fast speeds at a great price. Easy to install. Only downside is the ugly PCB but in reality this isn't a real issue. Really good drive.
