Samsung 870 QVO MZ-77Q8T0BW 8TB 2.5" Internal SSD

An excellent replacement for an ageing mechanical hard drive. It isn't anywhere near in the same class as NVME M2 SSD as it is a first generation SSD but the size makes up for the lack of speed. Being a QVO drive it isn't rated for as many read and writes as an EVO version but for a storage medium where it won't be written to anywhere near an O/S drive it should give me good service.
Pros: Silent operation; 8TB; Samsung reputation; Samsung Magician software

As an avid gamer I have an endless thirst for storage. I've been following this drive for a long time, probably soon after it was released. Now finally it hit a price point that meant it made sense to me to purchase. All my SSD's and NVMe's are from Samsung and I have total faith in their products (especially when combined with Samsung Magician that looks after the health of their SSD's and NVMe's).
