This HDD is very quiet, a lot quicker and runs cool when compared to earlier 1G Back Edition Drives. Highly recommended.
WD 1TB HDD
Great upgrade for extra storage while I consider my NAS options
Pretty good
I bought this 1TB as a temporary 2nd storage drive alongside 1 existing WD BLK 2TB, while I consider my upgrade options - Samsung EVO SSD or HGST (Formerly Hitachi, now amalgamated with WD). My O/S is on an Intel 545s SSD 512GB. I also bought another WD BLK 1TB to upgrade a family members pc, and they couldn't be happier with the result. I've been using WD BLK since 2013 and it's still going strong. The only major issue with WD is their difficult unresponsive customer service, however the product is pretty good. Prior to WD BLK, I've used top of the range Seagate and Toshiba. I can't wait to try HGST as it's apparently, OSOME! ????
