I had great hopes for this device, since my cooktop has no automatic ignition and my previous lighter was temperamental. This one worked great to start with, but has since (within a few weeks) become temperamental, too. Not sure what the issue is, but it will occasionally just refuse to spark, even with a fresh charge. I brought this to prevent me burning my fingers when lighting candles.
