TP-Link TL-PA9020P KIT AV2000 Powerline Kit with AC Pass-Through, 2Gbps/300m, 2+2 GLAN

As a replacement for the AV500s I was already using, it's amazingly better. Pass through, 2 ports, 2000 Mbps? Yes please.
But.
We had 4 in place, one by the router in the garage, one for Smart TV / Sky, one for my PC, one for the wife's PC. All great. Then I added a fifth for the PS3 / PS4. Suddenly the status lights were red instead of green and the network, particularly internet access, was patchy.
Removed the one for the wife's PC, we're back to green, everything's great again. And she's happy too because I've put a cable between my device and her PC. As a replacement for the AV500s I was already using, it's amazingly better. Pass through, 2 ports, 2000 Mbps? Yes please.

Pretty good product, bit annoying that if you use both ports on the bottom with a flat network from your router that it creates a loop and crashes your network. I have a studio at the top of the garden, so these devices were perfect. Plugged them in, and it just worked. I'm receiving around 75Mbs download and 39Mbps upload.

One star deducted as they are REALLY BULKY. If you have a double wall socket, say goodbye to the second socket as this guy tramples all over it. I'm still floored by the magic of this device ..
I have a second TV downstairs and a study with desktop upstairs.
Using this powerline adaptor, my TV gets full speed internet downstairs and I can play all the games in my Steam Library with a gaming controller on a couch at full speed, no lag, even the more demadning ones. It's awesome! :) I'm still floored by the magic of this device ..

Excellent product for those not wanting to use wireless or ethernet internet connections.. This was an upgrade from a previous TP-Link Powerline kit and the speed improvement was substantial. Bought 2 pairs of these to put into 3 rooms, and another at the router near the kitchen. Speeds are pretty good, and the wiring of the house is probably not the best but can get around 90-120Mbps depending on what other devices in the house are switched on, and how many adapters are on at once. In a new house with very good wiring, you should see better speeds.

This improved the situation, but there is still some reduction in speed (~5Mbps down), although it doesn't bother me too much. Your mileage may vary on this, depending on how your house is wired of course.

In summary, a good buy if you have wifi dead spots in your house, and running ethernet throughout the house isn't feasible. Keep in mind you won't get anywhere near 2000Mbps in performance, though.

Better than my TP-link AV500 and D-Link AV500 powerline adapters. Not getting anywhere near the rated speeds between floors in the house but I guess that is due to house wiring when both plugged in on the same floor. Have a gigabyte connection and get good Wifi speeds throughout the house apart from the office, which has fair to average WiFi strength. Product gives me 1/9th the speed I get with Wifi. Installed correctly directly into wall with CAT6 cables in new house / wiring. Would like to return. There's only way you can squeeze 1Gbps from these: connect two computers to the same adapter, in this case it would work as a switch and speed between computers will be 1Gbps as promised.

The AC pass-through will give 300Mbps at most and only if you connect adapters literally to the same circuit (e.g. into the same 4 outlets power point, or power board). As mentioned in comments they are too bulky and there's no chance to squeeze another plug next to the adapter into 2 outlets power point. Realistically in a pretty new house you can get about 250Mbps, plugging one of the adapters into the power board or extender will reduce speed by 15-20 Mbps. I used iperf3 to test speed.
Otherwise it's pretty good technology, super easy installation, stable, not affected by interference from neighbors. I would have given it 5 stars if the box had no false promises.
