Works great but just make sure when you are setting it up for the first time (manually) you don’t type in the wrong wifi password or else you won’t be able to login to the mywifiext.net (the setup page) to try it again. Inexpensive, easy to install and reliable wifi extender. I used to have several dead spots in the house where wifi reception was nil - now there are none of those. If needing a quicker and cheaper solution than a wifi mesh, this works fine. Range is better than my actual router, can walk round the outside of the house and get coverage in most places. Flawed setup, clunky management, kept dropping off the network when I pushed any decent amount of data through it. If you know anything about networking you wouldn't touch a Netgear product. Used as a stopgap until I could sort out a proper mesh setup. Do yourself a favour, don't bother. Product came extremely fast, was easy to set up & I have not had a single issue with it. It works exactly as I needed it to & will absolutely be buying more to extend the wifi further.
The only con would be the size of the product itself. It makes it a little difficult to plug anything else in around it due to its chunky size. We are in a 2 story home with router downstairs in garage. Followed simple instruction and now get wifi right through the home. we only had some signal in half the home previously. Use 192.168.1.250 to log in to the unit.
Setup is clunky, if you are not so cluey about networks, this may not be for you.
Final result 50% wifi signal when pc is 10m away from unit, and speeds approx 1-2Mb/s when the rest of the network runs at 60-70 Use 192.168.1.250 to log in to the unit.

I purchased last Jan using it for 1 month for connecting my shelter It's about 100m2 house almost end to end.
and I put it one second bed room. The wifi signal works everywhere now. This device setting up as XXXX_XXX_5g_2gEXT / XXXX_XXX_5g_5gEXT.

Pros
- Using as a AP this is a good one to use it.
- Nice strength of wifi signal
- Good price

Cons
- The body is too big for power outlet. I my case that can't plug in to the other empty side even it has 2 point power outlet.
- Not that easy to set up at the first time. There were 2 options to connect to my wifi connection but second one wps method just worked.
