Cooler Master MWE Gold 550W Power Supply

After putting a power meter (watt-meter) on my PC I found about 35 watts was quiescent, reaching up to 50 watts for youtube, but I got a big surprise drawing about 350 watts running TRAINZ, mostly used by my RX580 vidcard, pushing my old power supply to its limit.
This Cool Master 550 watt unit gives me plenty of safety margin, with the modular bonus of minimal leads in the case - as I only run M.2 not sata storage. This PSU is great for the money, $ for a modular power supply is a great deal IMO. This is in my R3 2200g and RX 460 system and its been great so far. Although custom cables are a bit tricky to find but the power supply extensions are a great solution to this problem. Brought his PSU to install into a budget build with a 3100 and RX 570 inside a MATX case. The unit itself it has worked flawlessly, easy to install and being fully modular allows for easier cable management.

Overall a good little unit for those looking at something in the mid range space

NOTE FOR POTENTIAL BUYERS:
- This PSU does suffer from auditable coil wine when the PC is shut off, a quick google uncovered that this is common place. For piece of mind after shutting down the PC i use the switch at the back to run off the power completely. Brought his PSU to install into a budget build with a 3100 and RX 570 inside a MATX case. Helpfully modular power supply, but in practice most builds will use most of the outputs. The first unit I got was faulty in a weird way that was difficult to diagnose, PBTech worked it out for me. Everything is as expected, the only downside is that it makes a little high-pitched whine. I have my PC in my bedroom, so I have resorted to turning the PSU off when I go to sleep now. Power supply starting playing up so bought this one to replace it. I immediately noticed my pc was quieter and it even seemed to start faster. Easy to install and would recommend.
