Corsair HX Series HX750 750W Power Supply

I did thorough research on finding a quiet PSU to replace my old evga supernova G1 that sounded like a jet engine. Everything pointed towards this Corsair HX750. I even asked one of the staff at pbtech and he remcommneded this. Got the PSU and couldnt wait to install it and be amazed by its quiet operation only to have an even worse problem... coil whine. It even made my already worse coil whine ridden GPU to squeal even louder. It was like going from one noisy annoying noise to another. I took it back and got a replacement thanks to the good folk at pbtech. Having paid for a platinum rated psu at a high price point I thought I would be more impressed but this time round I was sadly disappointed.

No Denying this is a fantastic PSU choice for any serious build.
...However let down by one small thing.
Despite many brands having 'not bad' flat black cables these days, I fail to understand why such a high end PSU comes with the most cumbersome and ugly cables imaginable. They're so stiff and bulky, the 24 pin, CPU and GPU cablers are near unusable and will stress the connectors and wires. Obviously I had a pretty bad time with them. Put Custom cables in your budget If you care about aesthetics. No Denying this is a fantastic PSU choice for any serious build.

I've had my power supply for 3 weeks now, and haven't experienced any issue, for it's quality, it seems to have a very good price and an amazing 10 year warrenty. Provides power good, using with AMD 3600x and RX6600. Disappointed with the cable sleeves as others have mentioned. but full modular made install easy. This is a good quality PSU with all of the modular cables for pretty much any config. My case is nice and clean with no extra cables. My old PSU started failing under heavy gaming load so needed a new one. Saw this one on sale a week ago and it was modular (like my old one) . Easy to install and oh so VERY quiet. Great selelection of cables but the main PCIe, Mobo and CPU AUX cables are rather chunky and not very flexible.. Potentially this makes them harder to route and could put stress on the MOBO / Graphics card sockets. However i was able to support the cables on the case structure. My PC working great again .. I love the baggy all the cables came in, really felt the Japanese aesthetic kicking in, a very good power supply, so now I can have 2 monitors instead of exploding my GPU :). All-round was very good, to be honest, I don't think I even needed one but always good to have in case I decide to upgrade. Would recommend and wait for a special but up to you. This PSU has been great.

The 8 pin to 2 dual 8 pin PCIE cables are great for large graphic cards.

What i didn't realise is amongst corsair PSUs there is a high degree of compatibility with the cables which helps if you have multiple PSUs and are short on cables for them you likely can use another Corsair psus cables. Corsair has a page on their website that notes the compatibility of the cables across the psus. This PSU has been great.
