I chose to buy an EVGA RTX 3080 Ti online and with my Corsair RMx 650x (great PSU!) and Ryzen 5800x system also running an AIO, 2 x m.2 + 2x SATA SSDs, and Corsair LED Fans + Controller I knew that 650w would certainly not provide enough wattage with the new GPU.

The 10-year warranty is very reassurring and I know that EVGA has a pretty good reputation with customer service, though I haven't ever dealt with them myself. Overall this is a great PSU to buy despite it being released in 2016, and with less availability for more popular PSU units that are 750w/850w and above (such as the Corsair RMx series) this is PSU a great choice that I felt confident to add to my build and can recommend to all.

Other than still not being sure about leaving the ecofriendly option on or off, it does what it is supposed to do. I ended up with the option to leave it always on, also because it is hard to access in my current setup. This thing is solid. Excellent cabling system, and all the little peripherals that you need for installation are provided in the box. I'm running dual GPUs and have had no problems. Absolutely love it, investing in a high-quality PSU like this is never a bad idea. This thing is solid. I got this on sale for a great price, couldn't believe it was so cheap for a Platinum 850W PS. Stocked with the performance, price and noise, the only not perfect thing is the cabling, they're quite rigid and a little hard to twist and turn to make the cabling as nice as i like it but a small issue that some may not care about. I am currently using this PSU to power another two GPU's on my mining rig - 1x 1080ti (250w) and 1x 1070ti (217w) which is constantly pulling 420 Watts from the wall. Is no problem for this PSU to run GPU's 24/7 at around 50% load.
These EVGA Platinum PSU do not break a sweat nor even barely even get warm!

With this 850W PSU I do not have it directly connected into the mother board and is only connected to my main PSU which is an EVGA 1600W P2 Platinum PSU.
(WARNING:Never plug a 2nd PSU anywhere directly into the motherboard as this can cause the main PSU to fight for power with the 2nd PSU and could brick your GPU's and cause other bad things to happen)

No issues (plug & pay) to link another EVGA PSU to any other EVGA PSU with a dual PSU cable adapter, or you could use an add2psu or add2psu clone.

This EVGA 850W P2 Platinum PSU works very well dual mining and or gaming / VR etc..

I am happy and content with this purchse, is money well spent for a non server PSU, plus that 10 year warranty!!

Would like to see pbtech stock EVGA TITANIUM Full Modular PSU's!
