Kobo Libra Color eReader - Black

Have changed from Kindle to Kobo. Still learning to navigate the new device - all seems pretty straight forward. I enjoy the bigger screen and better graphics. I was spending a reasonable amount annually on purchasing on-line eBooks from Amazon. The Kobo's access to the free Auckland Library Libby App is a great resource, so actually some cost saving there. Easy downloading library books from anywhere.
And easy return. Will easily pay for itself as I’m an avid library user. Will be great for any form of travel - even on the bike!

It's a good device so far but I needed to come back to the store for a replacement twice before getting one with a screen without defect. It wasn't a major thing, just a white dot on the screen. Not super noticeable, but it started to annoy me after I stared at the screen for an extensive period of time. So much nicer to read on than my phone or iPad and if I fall asleep it doesn't bonk me on the nose and wake
me up like the iPad! Wasn't too hard to work out how to use Overdrive which was the purpose for the purchase - I can
now access books from the local library which is amazing but you can still buy a book on the Kobo website if stuck
somewhere as long as you have wifi - so much more versatile than the Kindle. I have also figured out how to connect to
another library that uses Borrowbox. This is a little more complicated but I got it sorted - it takes a bit more time as you have to

I have swapped my Kindle for the Kobo reader and it's great! Love to be able to borrow library books. Also great features to adjust the brightness to your liking. Battery seems to last a long time, mine is at about 50% after a month of regular use. If you switch from Kindle it takes a bit to get used to not being able to hold it at the bottom (not enough frame), but instead there is a broad rim on one side which can be used left or right hsnded I have swapped my Kindle for the Kobo reader and it's great! I b ought this as a gift for my wife, since her Libra H2O is getting a bit old. She loves the colour! Seeing book covers in colour has really enhanced the experience for her, to the extent that it is beginning to tempt me too. The newer processor makes it noticeably more responsive, and the firmware has some nice new features too. Highly recommended - especially since it was cheaper at PB Tech than buying direct from Kobo! I used to be a bookworm since childhood till I started my bachelor program. Because of hectic and stressful academic situations during my health background bachelor and later in the career as well, I stopped reading books, I started reading Manga, Comics, Manhwa etc but not books. After checking different models from different brands and as well as checking reviews I finally ordered a eReader in the hope I can get back my reading habit back. Since I still read Manga, Manhwa, I wanted get colour version that's why I find this model fits perfectly well for me. After getting it on my hands, I finished two books in one go.
