I ordered this hub online for delivery direct to a not-very-computer-literate rellie in the back-blocks down country. Promptly delivered and when he plugged it in it immediately ran perfectly. I made the mistake of not checking the specs properly and this unit does not have it's own power supply. I thought it would be the same as the 8 port unit.
