I needed a dual monitor option for work purposes and this has ticked the box. The only shortcoming is the cable to connect to my surface pro is a little short so it doesn't sit flush with the table. It's OK and provides the connectivity I was after however, it also comes with a functionality compromise.

The hub requires a software utility which enables screen sharing. With this installed and active, the Mac OS unlock via an Apple Watch doesn't work (as the screen is being shared). Finding an adaptor that had two USB-Cs was a challenge! This one did the trick and works great. I purchased it to use with a MacBook Air on a business trip and now use it with my Mac Studio.
