This is a really good product for anyone who gets up during the night and takes a while to get their head around things at that hour. I use it on the lowest light setting for my toilet and I've set it to stay on for 20 seconds (range is 15 to 60 seconds). Every movement I make keeps it on or if it turns off it will turn on again. The tone of the light is such that it does not seem to interfere with my night vision. I use the app to make my settings, which once set rarely needs to be used again. The main part of the body is not attached to the smaller base but held in place by a strong magnet. This means that if you don't want to attach it to a wall you can just place it on a shelf, or if you have attached it to a wall (it's permanent) then simply pull the main body from the base and place it where you like.

Neat little light, reasonably easy setup for a Bluetooth device and easy to add to other Smart MI devices if you already have the app installed. I have a collection of the previous models, bought two of these. They are not as bright and the bluetooth is not that useful apart from extending the lit period, and brightness from extremely low, to fairly low. I am very satisfied with the first version. This new version is the complete opposite, with no lighting effects at all. Its brightness is even weaker than that of a candle. At first I thought it was batteries problem, but still the same after replacing another set of new batteries. I am very satisfied with the first version. We are using this as a motion sensor nightlight for the hallway to the bathroom. You can adjust the length of time it stays on for which is perfect.
