Bought the Otterbox cable a week or two ago, and it looks tough, and the braided cloth cable cover is flexible buts holds its shape; I’ve additionally added a little single loop knot just at the top of the joint to help take some of the “pull”’ as I move the tablet around. The Otterbox connectors have long flexible ferrule sleeves which support the cable. I also bought a Belkin cable and am comparing them to see which lasts better!

We have tried various brands and find these higher quality ultra-rugged cables to be the most reliable and long-lasting.
