Every review by professional reviewers raves about these headphones. Safe to say I was expecting 'out of this world' sound quality. It wasn't so. The sound quality was merely very good, in my opinion. Sure, they will eat your $10 in-ears from BP for breakfast, but they aren't a value-oriented Orpheus, so don't expect them to be.

The frequency range has a good response with neutral EQ, but they lack in the spatial area of audio. ANC is satisfactory for the majority of users, but again, only if you get them on sale. The passive noise isolation from the ear cushions themselves is enough noise-cancelling for me, so I tend not to use the ANC. This is partly because there is a slight hiss and some muddiness when ANC is turned on, so for full price, if you're looking at ANC, just pay ~$100 more and get some Sony WH-1000XM4s. Battery life is pretty good. Good enough that you won't notice it, however, bear in mind I tend to leave ANC turned off which increases longevity. Comfort is good. The earpads may look small, but they can actually accommodate some decent-sized ears, you'd be surprised. Clamping force could be less, some people with wider heads may experience discomfort over longer periods. The main issue with comfort is the heat generated by the relatively thick pads, after an hour or so, you notice the discomfort, forcing you to take them off.

Hopefully, that clears up any questions. And to reiterate, try and buy these on sale. They aren't worth RRP.

My wife really enjoys these headphones - they are comfortable to wear and have great passive noise insulation. They look really elegant in white. The only downside is that you can notice a slight high pitched noise in the background when active noise cancellation is on. She did not notice this initially but once she did it started to irritate her. This can be amended by turning off active noise cancellation however it is on by default and she sometimes is not sure if she has turned this off or not. Here is the truthful review on these insane headphones. I have owned and used these headphones for almost 7 years now, and I have been blown away every time I put them over my ears (I get hard every time I take them out of the case). The bass is ultra super mega hugemungous chungus monster chode deep. One time I used the Sennhieser Smart Control App and turned the bass on full. At the time I thought it was a good idea until my right big toenail vibrated off and fell onto the floor, later that day I saw my pet cat munching on it for a snack. The overall sound quality of these headphones outperforms any headphones in the market to this day. I own multiple audiophile headphones and none of them even come close to the quality of the HD450 BTs (I'm deaf). I also performed 3 year test with them against the Air Pods Max, and the Sennheiser's beat them in every single department.

I originally bought them in black, but they are now white after I painted them with my magic wand, so from my point of view both colours look awesome. In terms of build quality, they are as solid as my morning wood, during my three year test against the Air Pods Max I visited the sky tower with my friend. For some reason he has beef with Sennhieser headphones so he ripped them of my head on threw them off the edge in pure rage, naturally I returned the favour and threw him off the edge as well. As expected when I reached the bottom the Sennheiser's had zero scratches on them, completely the same condition as when I took them out of then box, however, my friend fortunately didn't stay in one piece. Moral of the story, is that the HD450's are better built than a human.

Lastly, these headphones are an absolute bargain. I don't know why the best headphones in the world are priced so cheap, it doesn't make sense if you ask me. I will likely wear these headphones for the rest of my life because they are so insane, probably wear them in my coffin as well. If you are on the fence about buying any headphones, but these ones. You won't regret it (and you'll have wet dreams about them).

I got this on sale for around half price. I would not pay the full price, the noise cancelling is pretty average but it does the job. They are very tight on my big head and hurt after a few hours. Through the course of a years worth of ownership these headphones have definitely been one of the most problematic devices I have ever owned.

I'm not sure if its just the ones I received or not but over the past year these headphones have continuously found new ways to fall apart. In terms of its structure its well made and still adjusts perfectly fine however the cups are just so bad. During the first month of usage they'd constantly just fall off; leading to embarrassing moments on the train while I'm sat there trying to reassemble my headphones. To solve this I tried to glue the cups to the base of the headphones however the headphones would not give up, they were adamant on showing me up and would not let the glue hold them together. So the last few months they've just straight up decided to rip open and expose the inner foam. Unbelievable and it's not like I was abusing these headphones or anything as they were mostly handled carefully and used indoors.

In terms of its pros, I guess it's cheap and produces average sound out of the box, looks pretty despite the large size and has decent battery life. If the cups simply stayed put this would be a great buy and I'd recommend it.
