Sennheiser RS 175 RF Wireless Over-Ear TV Headphones - Black

As a 66 yr old male who likely didn’t wear enough hearing protection in my younger days I had a bit of a hearing issue. While I could have spent $3k or more on hearing aids I was fine in the mid range and it was normally situations like watching tv when I wanted it louder and my wife thought it to loud that I had issues. These headphones are great, the sound is super clear and I can have it up without disturbing my wife.. so a win all round.

I bought the Sennheiser digital Over-Ear headphones as a result of a recommendation from PB Tech staff. Possibly there might have been a cheaper solution, but you get what you pay for! Understanding the installing was a little bit tricky, but I got there in the end and the result was reward enough. Now I can follow most movies (unless the background music is too loud!) and the only negative point I have is that the headphones are a little bit too tight and although there is adjustment for height of head, there is no allowance for girth of brain! If you have been spoiled by proper audiophile headphones for listening to music or big movie soundtracks, then you'll find the reproduction on these mediocre at best. Plenty of bass, but the mid and treble presentation is flat and lacklustre, and utterly devoid of that 3D soundscape in your head that good phones will provide. No issues with connectivity etc, that side of things is excellent, reaching from one end of the house to the other. Well worth the investment when sound this good is received via the Sennheiser. Also excellent for those late nights, do not disturb moments when one can immerse themselves and still be in the good books. These headphones blow me away. I watch almost all my tv shows, games, and movies with headphones on. Keeps me in my own world and I don't have to worry about the sound bothering someone......my wife. :)

The build seems a little flimsy for the price and they are not the most comfortable, though not uncomfortable. My only real gripe is the small power button in the back. It's difficult to press for two seconds at times. All of these are minor.
