Single 32GB Support

The maximum memory capacity on the Z690 motherboard is 128GB. After Intel updated the memory reference code, a single slot can support up to 32GB. Therefore with populated 2 DIMM per channel on both channel, total memory capacity is 128GB, which was only available on High End Desktop (HEDT) platforms. For users who always run out of memory capacity, there is more bandwidth now for memory-intensive application such as rendering and video editing.

Great z690 value

If you are after a clean grey/silver mobo this is a great option. The 16+1+2 Digital VRM is impressive for this price range. Good IO options on the back, plenty of USB.

Nice gaming mobo

A nice ATX motherboard with support for 4 x NVMe drives. When first booting on assembly the motherboard hung on VGA status error as the CPU paired (i7-12700KF) with it doesn't support integrated graphics. Even though this is a supported CPU, on power cycle it detected the GPU and gave POST screen. I brought two of these to build two systems, only one of them got stuck on the VGA status error even though they shipped with same BIOS version, however all worked out eventually.

The maximum memory capacity on the Z690 motherboard is 128GB. After Intel updated the memory reference code, a single slot can support up to 32GB.
