Xiaomi Mi 34" UltraWide QHD Curved Gaming Monitor

I bought this screen because of its shape and size. The monitor was just what I needed for about 3 days. 3 days after I started using this screen I had a noticeable dark spot on the top left hand corner of the screen, I've read online that this is a common issue for this monitor. I bought the unit while on Easter special and I am not disappointed. Works a treat for home office setup. I ditched my old 21' and do not use my laptop screen as well. This monitor has enough display width to view 2~3 documents quite comfortably. both HDMI ports can be connected to two computers and display at the same time in a split-screen mode; very handy if you want to use too computers (home and office, which does work for me because while WFH, my company's VPN connection is quite strict in terms of access many websites as well as personal emails. PBTech service is impeccable as usual. It took the Petone shop less than 2hrs to notify me that my order was ready for pickup.

Whatever angle I'm sitting at, the screen can be lowered or raised to suit. Setup was a snap with the screen literally snapping into the base and that was it. It also has hardware to mount it to a wall.

I got this screen mainly for looking at charts, browsing and video streaming and, my word, it's outstanding. I can see so much! Not only that, the colours were amazing straight out of the box. It looks better than my old AOC monitor that took weeks of tweaking to get it looking decent. This one - straight up looked good.

Websites look great, text is crisp, photos have more detail than I could ever imagine. Word and Excel docs are a breeze to edit.

I guess I'm a savage and don't see the intricate details that gamers do, to me, this screen is insane and such a steal at this price point. For normal people, you'll simply adore this monitor. Also, the curved screen was very easy to adjust to.

Some tips, change your icon size to 125% or bigger. Makes text and icons easier to see on this mammoth of a display.
For the best resolution, your PC will require a display port. Not HDMI or the large blue plug thing we had back in the day. The monitor comes with the cable so don't buy one unless you require more metres. If you only have HDMI, you'll only get 1080 resolution and trust me, it looks sad on this beast.

You can plug in two devices and split screen as well.

I really have nothing bad to say about this monitor, but to keep it honest; I don't like the white little L.E.D on the corner of the screen. It blinks when my PC is in rest mode. Wish it was orange or a less intrusive colour.

Overall, an epic screen that makes you feel like an all-seeing god of your internet world. If you're a gamer that requires the best, do your research and continue saving as you won't get perfection you crave at this price point - be realistic.

For all you other people, I welcome you to the wider side of life. You won't wanna leave.

While it can hit 144hz, when set at that refresh rate my monitor had blurring around the very edges of the screen, most noticeable with text, this issue was resolved when dropping down to 120hz. The displayport cable that came in the box was also faulty, causing visual artifacts while playing games. This issue was also resolved this time with using one of my own display cables.

To me, these issues were tolerable for the price that I paid, although those that are more picky than me may have to make use of the return policy a few times to get a monitor that performs as advertised. As a VA panel you can expect motion blur in very dark scenes as well as on text with the upside being that It can get much darker than an IPS or TN display, this is especially good for those who like to game in a dark room. Unfortunately it's lacking in brightness and as a result whites can come off as very slightly dull and greyish, although fiddling with monitor settings can mostly nullify this issue. The monitor also has a slight green tint which can be improved by increasing the blue balance.

Overall for the price that you pay, you get about the level of quality you would expect.

This has been so far the most affordable Ultrawide screen that I could find in the market. If you are in a tight budget but preferring an Ultrawide Setup and this is the monitor for you. The 4ms delay is not noticable once you get used to it. Just having a check on your processor and gpu if it supports 144hz in a 1440p resolution. The stand is high enough for most setups, pairing this with a stand or clamp would get the most out of this monitor. Personally, I use it as a TV/Monitor on my setup as it could switch sources by using the monitor controls. Specs are very good on paper, but in my opinion the quality doesn't really compete with $1,000+ models.
I love all of the screen real estate, often have to minimize the window to effectively work without swiveling my head to follow my mouse.

I had one issue where I moved the screen up and the power cord disconnected.
Pixel quality is like any other screen I've seen, its 1440p but since the screen is so large the pixels are still visible.

Great value, it does what I need it to do (video editing, browsing internet, work), but I can't speak for gamers.
I don't have any issues with it apart from minor screen issues, but it's not enough for me to want a replacement.
I recommend to people who just want an 144h ultrawide with good curve without breaking the bank.

I exchanged if for 34" Samsung OLED Odyssey G8 instead, although its 4 times the price I was very satisfied with the superb display and performance. I really wish I had found this sooner it has made my everyday work so much easier. I would recommend this screen to anyone.
