Simple and Quick to setup, good build quality, as always, with NetGear. Very Reliable, I leave on all the time, has always worked. No where near 1gbps thruput, more like 14MB/s, which is good enough for most peoples needs I imagine. This was not an internet speed test, but a LAN download test from local NAS - I get around 100MB/s when tested with EtherNet Cable direct from router to Laptop, as expected for 1GBPS ports. The 14MB/s is in a house with decent electrical wiring. Does work even when used with multi-point extension leads, but performance suffers. Note, the user guide states not to use with extension leads.

Overall, a cheap and simple solution to get Wired Ethernet, definitely worth considering if wireless connectivity is a problem, and power sockets are readily available at both ends of intended setup.

This will never be as good as true wired connection, but this was a massive upgrade from wireless. I would highly recommend this product if you can't get a wired connection but want the speeds that one provides. For years I was using a wifi adapter for my PC. I encountered many problems as the router in our house is quite a distance away from where my PC is (at least 25m).

My 7 year old previous other brand set of internet over power line adapters started to fritz and dropped signals after a lightning strike..
so I looked on line for a replacement set with similar or better performance.

These fit the bill and were available for pickup straight away from my local PB Tech store.

Took them home and plugged them in....
instant compatibility and operation at double the speed of the previous setup.

Well pleased with the performance and ease of setup/use...

Using this product with the Dynamix PLG-C6A-2 Cat6 cable and so far they are a brilliant combination. All previous wireless connectivity issues have been resolved. wasn't sure about this as first generation was hit and miss. Took a punt on the latest AV2 model to sort out black hole in one of the rooms, and it works great. Only have 100mbs fibre and pretty much getting that through these adapters in an old house with old wiring. Good solid connection too. There is no way it will do 1gbs, But if you have wifi dropouts in the house , and happy with around 100mbs bandwidth then these will work fine. wasn't sure about this as first generation was hit and miss.
