The MWE Gold - V2 (Full Modular) is the next step in the evolution of Cooler Master's entry level 80 PLUS Gold power supply unit line. The original MWE Gold series was created in order to offer a simpler and more affordable Gold rated option in order to help users make the transition from 80 PLUS White and Bronze power supply units more accessible. While there is still demand for White and Bronze units, the global standard has been shifting to Gold. Some countries have even begun to legislate 80 PLUS Gold efficiency as the legal minimum to purchase. This is why bringing affordable options like the MWE Gold is so important to Cooler Master. The MWE Gold - V2 improves upon the original version in the places where users will see the most immediate benefit.
80 PLUS GOLD CERTIFIED
Efficiency has always been one of the most important factors for users when choosing their power supply unit. While there are a range of efficiency options, 80 PLUS Gold has been the ideal choice for the last several years and continues to be seen as the standard for much of the world. The MWE Gold - V2 delivers an 80 PLUS Gold certification, guaranteeing a typical minimum efficiency of 90%.
2 EPS CONNECTORS
All MWE Gold - V2 models come standard with 2 EPS connectors in order to ensure universal compatibility with all current gen motherboards. Whether you get the minimum wattage level at 550W or the maximum at 850W, you never have to worry if you'll have enough connectors to use your ideal components.
QUIET COOLING
The MWE Gold - V2 has been upgraded with an HDB fan. This fan bearing delivers quiet and effective cooling with a long lifespan, allowing users to get the most out of their PSU for years to come. HIGH TEMPERATURE RESILIENCE

Nice cabling, quiet, but not zero dBA quiet
The modular flat ribbon cabling is really nice, makes for tidy routing. It is quieter than my old power supply, but...
When I read the MWE Gold 650W was spec'ed at zero dBA at 20% load I had expected not to hear anything most of the time. Unfortunately my sample of the MWE Gold 650W new one made an audible whir/rrrr sound when idling - maybe the fan or sensor was faulty. It didn't help that the PC had to be placed in a location surrounded by amplifying hard surfaces. I returned it. If it had been zero dBA at 20% load, or the sound was just the air moving, I would have kept it.

Been using Cooler master PSW for a while after I had 2 PSW from another brands fail.
Perfect PSU for my 10 year old gaming PC
I was in PB Tech for less than 2 minutes before the first staff member i approached helped me find this PSU. I was looking for one they didnt have in stock, that was actually more expensive but not as good. The staff member helped me look on their web site for the one i wanted and after we found this one she explained the positives of a fully modular PSU over non-modular ones in respect to the PC build i wanted it for. Ive been using it for 2 weeks now and i found it runs at a much lower temp than my previous one and has stable power output under heavy load. 10 out of 10 would recommend to others.
