HP Deskjet 3720 Inkjet Multifunction Printer for Home User/ Student

I bought this as my 2 year old Canon MG5660 decided to expire after not much use (would not recommend!!) and was pleasantly surprised by same day delivery. The printer itself is much smaller than I imagined, a third of the size of the Canon which frees up some desk space and the free ream of paper was a nice bonus. Really easy to set up (If you follow the instructions! Just make sure the WiFi on your computer is turned on) took about 5 minutes.
Prints, scans and copies very well from PC and phone (Samsung S22) and the HP Instant Ink free 2 month trial is awesome at the price compared to buying cartridges normally.

This is an ideal printer for home/occasional use, not ideal for heavy print users - they should probably look at something in a higher price bracket. Prints really well if a little slow, the scanner/copier takes a little getting used to but once you have the hang of feeding the paper in it works fine for such a small unit.
All in all I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Just bought this, and had to manage reasonably low expectations down as it took quite a bit of configuring and wifi doesn't always work smoothly when devices are reconnected. The print quality is good, and I wasn't expecting high speed, anyway. The design means the outbound paper tray is too small for the pages and they can catch awkwardly. If you're printing single pages, it's not a big problem. The footprint is small and the combined colour cartridge lasted just under its stated average page distance. I think I'd choose differently next time, but in this instance I didn't take the time to ask a PB Techie, so the choice is on me. Not the fault of PBTech, but unit I got had a fault saving the wireless connection to the 3720 memory - stumped me for many hours and the it technician I use for nearly 3 hours before I had to take it back. The shop tech confirmed there was a fault and replaced it immediately. Also found that the 2nd unit was difficult to get up and working but my it tech made some adjustments and now it is up and working fine. The 2nd problem may have been due to some changes we made to my computer settings when we tried to get the first one working. Overall the cost of calling in someone to fix the issue will probably cost me 3 times the printer cost but kudos to PBTech responded for an immediate replacement.

A compact handy printer. Especially useful for printing photos direct from a smart phone. Set up was not quite as simple as the instructions gave it, but got there in the end. Prints great quality. For its price and the functions that it can do, I'd definitely recommend this printer if you would like a printer that does its job: Printing and Scanning. While the printing and scanning quality of it may not be top-notch, but it is at an acceptable standard. Ink is also easy accessible, making this a top pick for me personally. I don't normally write reviews but this HP 3720 printer really has exceeded my expectations. My wife & I have found it easy to print wirelessly from iPhone & Android, without even using the HP app. Also, it looks great & is very compact. I've had it for a few weeks now & have also signed up with HP's ink delivery service, which seems like great value. It was a bit difficult to get it to connect to my wifi. But once I had that setup, it was a breeze to print what you need, and it’s small and portable enough that you can stow it away when you don’t need it. Simple intuitive good looking printer that doesn't take much room on my desk. Setup seamed simple enough but took awhile and I'm still working it out. I can print from my phone and tablet that's a real plus. Nice clear and clean printed pages. Overall happy with my purchase for the price.
