I thought there was an issue of one of the speakers not working so I pulled the speaker box apart to find out that there is only 1 speaker in both speaker towers

In general for their price they are very good, however I find them missing a bit in the treble, even with the bass all the way down they remain a little bassy. Don't understand why this product's rating is so high. It looks really nice on my desk but the sound is poor. Poor bass, muddy trebles and not much better than a monitor's built-in speakers. I got these on sale recently, just looking for a budget set of speakers for gaming and watching videos. After a few weeks worth of use I've noticed the sound quality is pretty good for the price. It's not tinny but can sound slightly muffled at times with voices, though it's not noticeable for the most part. For the price it's generally what you'd expect, if not a bit better considering. I haven't found the tone slider does much in terms of sound but that is just with my set up.

For the price you pay for the Logitech Z200 speakers, I figure they are not too bad at all. Hey, they're not HI-Fi speakers so they could never match them but if HI-Fi is what you want, you can go and pay your thousands of dollars for a system. These little guys are there to get the sound on to my desktop and no more, and I'm actually quite surprised at the reasonable sound they give. Online sound and video and the couple of games I tried, now sound a lot better compared to using the monitor speakers. It simply plugged in to the monitors audio output and powered up - just like that. I've only had them for a day now and I'm impressed..
