Microsoft Surface Pro Keyboard Type Cover for Surface Pro 4/5/6/7/7+ (Black)

Disappointed my surface pro5 battery failed totally after 2.5 years. If you want mobility, I had to replace the pc as you can't replace the battery. Annoying and wasteful.

So I chose the latest surface8. Then M/S store failed to warn me I would need a new keyboard as neither my surface 3 or 5 keyboard would fit the new model 8. Now they want another $240nzd extra for the keyboard. Keep in mind I just paid $2700 nzd for the replacement surface8 pc.
Had I known this I would not hav bought the model 8. I would have bought another cheaper, and probably more reliable brand.

I've used my Surface Pro for a few months now without the keyboard and mouse pad and got really frustrated with things like Excel or Outlook trying to only use the touch screen.
This keyboard has solved all the problems. Typing is so much better than the soft keys on the screen and having a mouse and buttons back again means I can actually use this device the way I want too. Why I didn't buy this keyboard from day one I'll never know. Great product and works as you would expect it too.
