Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2 PCIe x4 4K60 HDR10 Gaming Capture Card

I bought this card to use with my DSLR camera for streaming and stop motion. It's mostly working great but I had to work a few things out while setting it.
The card doesn't act as a monitor on it's own. Instead, it has an HDMI input and an HDMI output which must be plugged into a monitor. This monitor is what controls the resolution of the signal which means that if you don't have a 4K monitor you won't recieve a 4k stream through the card. In my case without the monitor attached, my camera only output a 480p signal.

The other issue is that only specific software is designed to work with the card. I was hoping it would act more or less like a webcam in that any software would pick it up as a video source. This wasn't the case however, and the workaround I ended up findimg was to download a webcam emulator (I used manycam) and had that take the input from the elgato and use it to emulate a webcam which all other software was capable of reading. Once I had done that, it all worked perfectly.
I'm sure for more regular uses this card would be much simpler to use, but for me there was some troubleshooting. All the same though the card does work great with good video quality and low latency.
