Samsung Galaxy Watch5 (Bluetooth) 40mm - Pink Gold

I owned the last few generations of Samsung Watch and also the Apple Watch.
For starters, this is almost identical to the Watch4, there are no differences that I could find. Even the chips are the same. So if you want to save money, go for 4.

The good:
it does everything you can think of. There's too much to list. More functionality than Apple.
Sleep monitoring better than any other device I've seen.
The 40mm is small, light and stylish.
Sapphire glass screen is potentially immune to scratches.

The bad:
it doesn't do everything perfectly.

More specifically, coming from the Apple Watch, I found:
the chips are under-powered for everyday animations and scrolling that it is trying to perform. You see lag, and it feels cheap.
The heart rate monitor becomes unreliable once you start sweating above 150bpm, it can't get a consistent reading due to the sweat and manly hair. But Apple Watch could.
The OS is a little clunky and it takes more scrolls and presses to navigate to the function you want than on Apple.

I hope in time to customise, fine tune and get used to it, but in the meantime just happy to have an all powerful companion like this and I can't live without it.

Except for the battery life, with all the features I wanted to turn on it was less than a day. With AOD it was even less.

I bought my watch brand new and used it for two days but the battery would only last for 5 hours max, kept disconnecting from my S22 and had several other connectivity issues. I sent it back two weeks ago and haven't heard anything from customer service about a refund.

It is working well with my Samsung phone, features are great, easy to software update. Bought to wifey, she loves it. Like other general comments, only downside is the battery life. If you are an active user, then you will require to charge everyday. But if you are treating it as a watch with low or no text message and call, it will last 3 days. If you are a smaller wrist person, think 40mm will fit better. Then bigger wrist person, think 44mm will fit better. I do wish it came with two because it felt small at first hut now I hardly notice it. The battery would last up to 3 days but it depends on what you plan on using it for. The setup was quick and easy and it charges quickly if you need to top it off. Just make sure you have a wall charger with a USB C port because it only comes with the cable on the magnetic wireless charger. Very happy with my purchase overall. Does everything I brought it for. Easy to set up and sync. Has plenty of features and performs as expected. Battery not too bad - probably recharge due every 2-3 days - doesn't take long to charge up though. Easy to set up and sync.
