Excllent device, have used it for a year now, and have had the V1 adapter for 2 years now. Very easy to cast from a windows pc or android phone. works well with little/none lag. Great range.
The app for updating it / changing settings needs improvement, however it is not needed for normal opperation.

The MS Wireless Adaptor is a brilliant little device - a must have in your laptop bag.

I've been using one for 6 months now for both business (e.g. Powerpoint presentations or sharing a screen in a meeting room) and also personal (e.g. wireless streaming a movie in a hotel room). They typically deliver a better experience than most of the smart TV's built in wireless functions, with less on screen pixelation and less lag.

These are superb for wireless broadcasting from your laptop. Easy to setup, reliable to connect to and the video quality is really good.

Great for screen sharing in meetings by day, and good enough to stream that Netflix movie in the hotel at night.

I was genuinely shocked at how easy it was to set up. I set aside half an hour to get this thing working, and within 30 seconds of plugging it into the TV, my Surface had connected and it was going. In fact my experience with this is more consistent than plugging in a physical cable. I would go so far as saying it is easier and more consistent than Apple AirPlay.

Tip: Get the Windows 10 app, rename the device to something more friendly, then do a firmware update. Even this only took a couple of minutes total.
