Wanted a way to play video content from my laptop on my television without having to run a HDMI cable across the lounge. When it arrived, I discovered it needs a powered USB port as well as the HDMI input port and with our television being somewhere between five and ten years, I was thinking I'd have to get a USB plug and extension cable to power it. My concerns were unwarranted and the device works perfectly out of the box. No more HDMI cable getting caught up by the dog running through the lounge! Lag free, I was pleasantly surprised.

Cons (some may be Windows or Surface 6)
* QHD monitor resolution not detected, only offers up to Full HD when it's connected. Look online and you'll find this problem has led up many purchase returns, like I did.
* Occasionally disconnects by itself for no apparent reason. Maybe every hour for me.
* Doesn't automatically reconnect when nearby (Windows detects it and offers, but can't do it automatically). Pros
