I didn't realise that the signal was only one-way and what I really needed was HDMI to Displayport so this cable was of no use to me. Fortunately discovered this before I opened the packaging so I have it ready to return when I get to a courier. Most other displayport cables I've bought have been unreasonably expensive, but this one was a bit cheaper - despite it being a non-standard cable.
