First I ordered delivery an adaptor, but it did not work. I visited PB Queen St, the gentleman on the counter was knowledgeable and helpful, he searched info for my monitor to know the ports, and advised that the way to make it work is the cable that I took, because what I had in mind would not work, as well. I went there without an invoice just a photo of the courier label, I got what I need and it works perfectly, and I got a refund for the difference in price.

Had trouble getting additional display working with my MacBook Pro, especially if you are trying to get 2 external display to work.

As I have read, the latest M1 chip only supports one external display.
I was lucky to have a spare DisplayLink adapter sitting at home which has a DVI port.

Use the adapter and this cable to hook up to another external display and things work like a charm.
