It works as a charging cable. The cable itself is nice and long, but the mirco USB end is a little short so you need to be careful putting it in. It's an average cable. It does the job, butwon't fit all phones. I have a "rugged" phone and the head won't fit in the charging port slot. So.... I use it for other devices instead.
