As most of you know electronic devices today can be charged using a variety of different strengths (watts/amps/voltage) and it soon becomes very difficult to work out what’s what. Now here’s what’s so fantastic about this device - I have a portable DAC that is battery powered but can also be used plugged in. The trouble with the ‘always-on’ plugged in mode is that I must have it connected using its micro USB cable so that it draws a minimum 2 amps. Unless it receives 2 amps it will go flat under normal usage; which is exactly what kept happening. To the life of me I could not find a suitable USB adapter and USB cord for the life of me, that meet my needs - such as 1 metre length so it can sit neatly on my cabinet powered on.

But here comes this charger to the rescue!

No more trying to decipher if the micro USB cable supported 2 amps or if the adapter did? Everything I needed to know was the brightly painted on the adapter itself!

It has two inbuilt USB ports. The first is configured for the most common devices needing 5v and 1 amp of power.
The 2nd is the glorious 2.4amp USB PORT, which is exactly what I needed and more then meets the requirements of my Mojo 2/ Poly portable DAC and streamer.
With 2.4amps and 5v my DAC gets more than 10w minimum it needs with a continuous supply of 12w day-in day-out.
Best if all it’s worked without a single problem!
