Got one of these recently and managed to easily integrate it into my Homebridge and Node-Red home integration flows. Having the current power use accessible opens many more home automation options over a simple on/off plug. Does what it says it will do on the box, but I had purchased it primarily as an energy monitor to test out how much power different appliances around my home were using. I was hoping for better accuracy, although probably got what I paid for. The current usage stat is measured to the nearest 0.1W which is good, but the daily usage stats are to the nearest 0.1kWh which is not particularly accurate.

This smart plug was easy to set up and the energy usage function is very useful for monitoring how much I am spending running my led lights on my African Violet plant stands. Again. Easy to setup. This being a Wi-Fi plug you need to find it with you phone first then install it and do any firmware updates.
Then just follow the wizard along the yellow brick road. Don't take the offered sweets and be good.
Assign it to the closest HUB and your done. Everything else is now able to be setup in the app.
I'm using a couple of motion sensors to turn this on to power a bunch of super bright LED flood lights.
LEDs that don't have a huge power draw that could potentially burn the power point out, but equally as bright as something bigger.

Really nice and very helpful especially right now i need to set Christmas lights auto on/off.

But it stopped working after a few days and returned the device to be checked and replaced. I just hope I have a faulty item. The power reading has daily fixed price or dynamic 3set by hour (peak,offpeak,night rates).

Works perfectly, either with the TP-Link app, or via Homebridge into the Apple Home app for 'Hey Siri' purposes. I have 3 of these now, would definitely recommend. I purchased two of these, and they were fine for nearly three months. However, one of them started rapidly switching on and off, which seems to be a common issue based on my research.
