I bought this for my mini itx build (Case H210)

Pros.
cool lighting effects,
easily can mount to the SSD tray behind the case,
strips are very bright

Cons.
NZXT cam software caused to freeze my PC (a downgraded version of the software worked fine),
No fan control hubs (obviously it is an LED controller),
needs a 4 pin peripheral power cable from PSU to powerup the unit ( SATA power cable is not compatible) I bought this for my mini itx build (Case H210)

Odds are you don't need this. It is a little pricey too. If you're looking to cut your dependence on the NZXT Smart device this does half the job if you want to control your fans in CAM. There are no fan channels, only lighting channels, which makes sense, but if you've got anything other that the NZXT H510 Elite or you're looking to get the RGB cable combs in the Hue 2 line-up it's a bit of a hard sell as the smart device doesn't seem to have any issue running 4 fans and their RGB as well as a light strip or two. In saying that, you need this if you're entering the NZXT Hue 2 ecosystem and it works well, CAM is better than it used to be and the RGB products are all attractive. But if this is the product for you then you're already likely aware of this.

P.S, make sure you have a spare USB 2 header on your motherboard, and a spare molex from your PSU
