This CPU is currently the best budget king. It costs less than the R3 3100 but has better performance for most games especially esport titles. Would 100% recommend this to everyone.

I purchased this for my first gaming rig and it was paired with a 1650 super and this was the best experience ever it was the perfect combo with the perfect price to performance ratio get high fps on lower settings and 60+fps on ultra settings. Best budget cpi from Intel so far. Probably the best value budget cpu available at the moment. originally wanted the Ryzen 3300X but these are impossible to find so this seemed to be a good alternative. It's effectively a 7th gen i7 but without the integrated graphics. Paired 32GB DDR4 and a H410 MB. Using the stock cooler. Nice quiet system. If you use a dedicated gpu then highly recommended. This is a great entry level processor for the price! Paired it with the lovely Msi mag pro vdh wifi motherboard from pbtech and let me tell you.. it so awesome!!!! Great budget CPU although I hear it does well for gaming too, I only use it for Graphics aps and regular office use.
It is better in benchmarks against the i7 7700 from 2017 that is more than double the price. It uses little power at 65 W. Cannot be overclocked.
Found out the Hard way that Intel MB's that have a M.2 pci 4.0 x 4 slot... require an 11th gen intel CPU so that faster M.2 slot doesn't work for me, but that's no biggie.
