The ability to see inside and slide the case open, makes this an excellent product when needing to extract data off drives ad hoc, and for long term storage. After a negative experience at the other PB Chch store, the guys at Chch central were fab. They helped identify/confirm the issue and helped replace the casing for me at no extra charge. This is really useful if, like me, you have some old hard drives you've pulled from dead laptops. This version is significantly better made than the cheaper ones on the auction sites. Transparent is good, except that the blue and red LEDs for drive activity are Very Bright Indeed, and a bit wearing when you're feeling fragile. I now have my digital world tucked up in this little gizmo. This is really useful if, like me, you have some old hard drives you've pulled from dead laptops. It's working perfectly! although it's kinda funny to see your SSD inside, but at least yo ucould see the capacity of the SSD. if you dont think too much on design, then yes this one is worth the money!
