Rather than be a good boy and clearing out space by deleting obscure files I bought a bigger SSD. Although my MB is a Gen 3 the Gen 4 SSD works just fine. The cloning using the Samsung software went without a hitch and everyting was up and running in short order. Got this for Black Friday sales and was a value king, especially at 2tb (which should be way enough for me). I didn’t plug it in properly with the motherboard at first so make sure it is snug before screwing in! Bought to split up app and game storage, so different data could be stored in different areas, eg system, apps, games, and library/backup. Access speeds are great, even though the board is currently on is a gen 3, it won't be staying that way. And I'll be back when I upgrade that.
