Really good value and quality product.
Only grumble is PB tech use Aramex as a courier - always unreliable.
This time the items sat in Christchurch for 9 days despite saying they were on their way.
After countless mails, they 'found' them in the warehouse.
Not PB Tech's fault.

This 4TB NAS internal HDD is a box, that I use with another box I own called a NAS.

The 4TB NAS internal HDD does what it says on the label. It is goes inside a NAS and does HDD things.

I'm not a technical person, but I know that if I buy things that use acronyms, it's usually more technical, and this product has two acronyms, so it must be good.

This HDD will be ace, until the MTBF target is met, and then because of the way these things work, I'll have to buy another one. Or two. Because that's also the way it works.

Purchased to replace another 4Tb IronWolf HDD - which had died after only ~ 1 1/2 years use in a NAS (SMART information)...
There was a time these had 5 years warrantees ...

Have been replacing my NAS drives with these as the old ones fail - these are smaller which is handy. Can’t speak for lifespan yet, but a year in on my oldest one and I haven’t had any issues. It's been in my server for about a month now and it's stayed silent the whole time, I've had absolutely no problems and it's a great price for its size and caliber. Hard to review a hard drive right... it does the job, it's quiet that all I can say.
I bought 6 of them in 2 separated pb tech stores to avoid or try to avoid bad batches.

I own several WD RED 4TB NAS drives and also couple of Seagate NAS drives. However, when receiving this 4TB IronWolf drive, it was a bit surprise to me as it is much thinner (only about two third of thickness) and lighter than the NAS drives which I bought several years ago. Besides, the antistatic bag is not as thick as before. This really make me a bit worry about the manufacture quality after the reduction on materials.
Anyway, the drive is good so far and it fits my new bought QNAP TS-133 NAS Enclosure well. By the way, I have to say the thin disk does make air flow better inside the Qnap TS-133.
