Wanted to buy another sandisk 240GB ssd but the price had jumped quite a bit.
WD own sandisk and this drive has similar specs/hardware and is the same price as i paid for the last sandisk ssd.

The included Acronis software refuses to run if it can't detect the drive as a WD. E.g. in an external enclosure. Made it useless for transferring an existing windows install. Had no issues previously with a Samsung drive.

I installed one of these in my Dell Optiplex 9020 SFF PC (A-grade off-lease from PBTech) using a StarTech Dual Mounting Bracket. The Windows boot time and program loading times have dropped dramatically. It's only been running in my system for a few days now but so far I'm very happy with my purchase. Was looking for a decent replacement to a smaller drive that was giving trouble on my general purpose PC at my home office. Great price, even compared to traditionally cheap IT providers online. The 480GB drive is a good medium size main drive for laptops, if not holding large music and video files.

The speed difference from a conventional drive is fantastic, generally booting in around 18 secs post install.

Just the right capacity SSD I needed to store my study materials.
It is very light which is good to keep the weight down.
