ROCCAT Vulcan Keyboard - Black

After only a few weeks of use I can already tell this product is my forever keyboard.

Roccat have built one of the sleekest mechanical keyboards I've ever had the pleasure of typing on!
The "AIMO intelligent lighting" for the keyboard is quite neat and each individual key can be assigned a colour. For the unique automatic lighting effects as well as manual configuration I had to intsall Roccat's own software called "Roccat Swarm".

If you look at your keyboard while typing, this may be very disctrating and I'd advise against using the Intelligent lighting setting.
However if you're unphased, the longer you hold a key down, the further out accross the keys the new colour "Explodes" from the key being held down. Seriously cool!

The keys themselves aren't absurdly loud for a mechanical keyboard which was nice. You can slow down typing to reduce noise output significantly.

The provided hand/wrist rest is okay, I don't have much of a complaint there other than it may be a cause of issue if leverage is applied to it over the edge of a desk... It will likely pop off from the weak magnet strength it uses to attach to the keyboard itself. I still prefer the wrist rest in place regardless.

Volume control knob feels nice and tactile, should you need it.

The weight of the keyboard is heavier than I expected for such a thin frame which in my preference is actually pleasant and offers the bonus of avoiding unwanted shifting around on the desk.

The keys themselves are elevated quite far from the flat almost completely gapless base, which leads me to believe no amount of crumbs or fluffies will get stuck between your keys. A simple flip of the keyboard and everything should come out!
