HyperX Predator RGB 16GB RAM (2 x 8GB) 3200Mhz DDR4, CL16

The key selling point of this RAM is the RGB. Despite having "Asus Aura Sync Compatible" in the advertising it has bare minimum compatibility and only if you're running a completely up to date version of Aura (late 2018 revision). Kingston offers a "fix" which unfortunately doesn't work.
Static works fine and the colours shine through evenly and beautifully. Unfortunately; Static is the only effect that works as intended.
Breathing, Color Cycle and Rainbow effects "technically" work, but they will be out of sync with no way to sync them up.

Kingston has put the blame on Asus for offering no support and says it's on Asus to make it work properly, and Asus has said that it's on Kingston to make their modules work with the Aura standard. It would appear this is an issue that will never be resolved.

Beyond that the RAM functions entirely as expected - nothing to report on that front.

If you're looking for a systemwide sync of nice effects I'd recommend tested and verified modules like the Trident.Z or Team Group stuff.

Bought two kits on black friday ( for 32GB what a deal - Uni store had stock hehe).

However, the RGB does not work with aura sync as advertised - only static colour works, any of the other effects are out of sync.

Also can't turn off the RGB lighting (without disabling all other lights such as motherboard/RGB strip).

Works as described but the RGB control is horrid and gets picked up by easy anti cheat, so a majority of multiplayer games wont allow you to play unless you uninstall the software that controls RGB. But now you cant control the RGB. Good RAM by all functional means. But when it comes to features, unfortunately does not sync with any RGB software I've tried. Including Asus Aura, HyperX NGenuity, Corsair C-link4. Even went as far as to set the RAM to auto rather than XMP and changing the SPD writing feature. Even updating the motherboard BIOS. No luck though, I'd be greatful just to have a static colour or even being able to switch off the LEDs. Wouldn't recommend unless you're going for a rainbow build. Good RAM by all functional means. Accidentally bought this instead of the non-RBG version, so that was an exciting surprise. Works as it should and no issues with it, easy to disable and/or set up the RGBs.
