As a long time Logitech trackball user (several M570s up to now) I was hesitant buying the MX Ergo as it was so much more expensive than my previous devices. However I can see where the extra cost has gone as the MX Ergo is solidly constructed with a few nice touches that make me feel that what I paid was justified. Dual input (Bluetooth & USB unified wireless) is a nice touch and the DPI selector is great for detailed work. The extra weight of the angle plate at the base gives the MX Ergo a reassuring heft and the finish is much nicer than the plastic of my previous M570.

Having worn out the Logitech M570 (two of them!) I finally decided to treat myself and get the MX Ergo - and seriously, it's worth every damn cent.

The review guide lines say to include pros and cons - but I can only include one con - it does not come with a little pouch or bag to keep it in, because I treasure it. Buy yourself a small camera bag, store it in that, enjoy it forever and ever.

If your hand, wrist or arm is getting sore using a mouse, you could opt for an ergonomic one. But it's still a mouse. Why not try a trackball instead?

The full and rounded shape feels great under the hand, which can completely relax because it doesn't need to grip the device to move it around like a mouse. Only the thumb moves.

It doesn't take long to get used to a trackball. I don't think I will ever be quite as fast with it as with a mouse but the difference is slight, plus it's awesomely quick with dual screens because you can spin the ball (and therefore cursor) right across from one side to the other. And I'd gladly swap a little speed for comfort.

This is a perfect replacement, very well designed. And in my opinion suited well for CAD and Photoshop work especially with the programmable buttons. Great upgrade from M570, and love the 20 degree tilt feature (note that it's either 0 or 20 degrees, nothing in between - the blurb is a little misleading on that)
Only used for about a month so far, so can't comment on battery life but it certainly charges fast.

My wrists can’t use normal mice for long, but I’ve been using this one every day for weeks and it is fantastic. The scroll ball is super smooth to use and it’s easy to customise the sensitivity. Well made and works well. However if you are looking for stable software from Logi to go with it forget it. If you want the options app to adjust pointer speed etc it is hopeless. Bought second one. First one lasted over 4 years until one of the tilt switches became not working properly. Considering it was used everyday and I use tilt buttons a lot, the quality of build is impressive. Bought second one.
